Somehow the girl that didn't use a vacuum until college and didn't know how to boil an egg until 2008 fell in love with Martha Stewart. I watch the television show, I subscribe to Martha Stewart Living, Body and Soul, and Martha Stewart Weddings, and I have seven of her books (and want many more). You could say that I'm Martha obsessed.
I started this blog in June when I was naive about how much time and energy it would take to put together my DIY wedding in October of 2009. This project was put on the back burner when I got hospitalized for a staph infection, got married, and unexpectedly found myself as the caregiver of seven puppies.
I got reenergized at the end of December and recommitted to becoming more like Martha Stewart. I'm attempting to incorporate advice from Body and Soul into my life, bake as many cupcakes, cookies and other goodies as possible and make tons of recipes from Everyday Food. By the end of the year, I'm hoping I'll be a lot more like Martha. What does that mean? I'll know what ingredients like polenta and swiss chard are and be able to find them in the grocery store, I'll be able to whip up delicious baked goods in a matter of minutes, and I'll cope with stress in healthier ways.
Follow me along this journey by subscribing to my blog. I love comments and feedback and would like to hear from readers. I'll give advice on the projects I attempt, rate their difficulty, and keep you updated on all things related to Martha.
